01/12/2024 Our collaborative work with Sophie Polo and Beatrice Rondinelli on histone H3.3-mutant brain tumors is published in Nucleic Acids Research! Chunmin and Takenori did a great job demonstrating that fission yeast is a great model for identifying therapeutic targets for human diseases.
03/13/2024 Yimeng and Xu's paper is published in Genes & Development as a cover story! This is a fantastic collaboration with Zhiguo Zhang's lab. Using fission yeast heterochromatin assays and the advanced eSPAN technology, we demonstrated the critical role of accurate parental histone segregation in epigenetic inheritance. Specially thanks to Chunmin, Takenori, and Dr. Feng Qiao, for their help and congratulations to everyone involved!

08/01/2024 Takenori, Yimeng, and Chunmin's paper on the role of Mrc1 in regulating parental histone segregation and epigenetic inheritance is published online in Molecular Cell! It is going to appear in the September 5th issue as a cover story! In addition, Yimeng and Takenori's collaborative work with Danesh Moazed lab on Mrc1 is published in Cell! A lot to celebrate in one day!

09/03/24 The Departmental of Biological Sciences announced annual prize winners today. Yimeng was awarded the Peter Sajovic Memorial Prize, which is awarded to a graduate student doing outstanding work in biology.
